STATISTICAL RECORDS OF WIENIAWSKI COMPETITION



Although these were mainly violinists who were the focus of attention during the Competition, the event itself also didn’t go unnoticed.

Between 1 and 31 October, as many as 888 media publications*
devoted to 14th H. Wieniawski Competition were released.

This number includes 536 publications of national circulation, and 361 Internet publications of, practically speaking, unlimited reach.

Every day, ca. 250 thousand radio listeners followed the contestants’ efforts**.

The advertising equivalent for this number of publications would be 42,164,800 PLN, which equals 495,857 square centimetres...

Between 25 September and 25 October, 1,596,733*** entries from over 100 countries (incl. 35% new visitors) on the Society’s webpage were recorded. Most came from Poland, Germany, Japan, USA, Russia, Switzerland, Great Britain, Spain, Austria, Turkey and South Korea respectively.
The overall no. of viewers to visit www.wieniawski.pl webpage was 78,881. Naturally, the page enjoyed greatest popularity on 22 October, when as many as 118,226 music lovers watched live coverage of the Prize Winner Gala.
Similar data to confirm media success of this year’s event could be quoted endlessly; none of these numbers, however, is able to render the unique sensations, thrills and emotions 14th International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition in Poznań offered its audiences.
