Akiko Tanaka



Akiko Tanaka (b. 1969) studied at schools in Tokyo, London (the Guidhall School of Music and Drama) and Mannheim. Her educators were Professors: Akiko Tatsamu, Yfrah Neaman and Wanda Wiłkomirska. Laureate of the Joseph Joachim Competition in Hanover and the Jean Sibelius in Helsinki. As soloist and chamber musician she performs at numerous venues throughout Europe and the Far East. Lives in Munich with husband, Polish violinist Radosław Szulc, soloist and first concertmaster with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.
