1. Who can participate in the competition?
The competition is open to violin players born between 1996 and 2008.
2. How can I apply for the competition?
Complete the application form available at www.wieniawski.pl and submit the required materials: a video recording, proof of payment and a scan of an identity document showing your photograph and date of birth.
3. How should I prepare the video for the preselection?
Please submit performances recorded after December 1, 2024. The total duration must be between 15 and 30 minutes. You may submit each piece as a separate file. Audio editing is not permitted. Please remember that your full figure must be visible at all times during the performance.
4. What repertoire should be included in the video?
Please submit three freely chosen works representing three different musical periods – solo works, works with piano or solo concertos with orchestral accompaniment.
5. Do all pieces have to be performed from memory?
No. You may perform from the score sonatas and contemporary works (composed after 1945).
6. May I perform the same piece in the competition auditions as in the preselection?
Yes, you may perform a piece in the competition auditions that you performed during the preselection. However, you may not perform the same piece twice during the competition auditions, which will take place in Poznań in October 2026.
