Hyun Jae Lim 

Hyun Jae Lim began her musical training at the age of four, first on the piano, before taking up the violin at age seven. A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, she has studied with Midori, Shmuel Ashkenasi, and Arnold Steinhardt. Following a major accident in 2020, she was unable to play the violin for four years, making her return to the stage in June 2024.

Since her return in 2024, she has been a semifinalist at the International ISANGYUN Competition and The International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition. She was awarded First Prize at the Seoul International Music Competition (2025) and the Elmar Oliveira International Violin Competition (2026), and was named a Classic FM "30 Under 30 Rising Star." Her earlier honors include prizes at the Yehudi Menuhin Competition and the Singapore International Violin Competition. 

She has appeared with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Houston Symphony. Her recent engagements include her debut with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra under Jaap van Zweden in August 2026.
