Maya Wichert

Maya Wichert was admitted at the age of 9 as a junior student at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, where she studied with Prof. Sonja Korkeala and Prof. Lena Neudauer. She continues her studies with Prof. Krzysztof Węgrzyn at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media. 

She has appeared as a soloist with orchestras including the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra and the Liechtenstein Symphony Orchestra, and has performed at festivals such as the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the Europäische Wochen Passau. 

She is a prizewinner of several international competitions, including First Prize and two special prizes at the Odesa International Violin Competition, and recipient of the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) Discovery Award.
