Concert Tour of the Laureates
of the 17th Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition (2027)
Performances in front of international audiences, collaborations with renowned orchestras, and concerts in prestigious venues in Poland and around the world – this is what the concert tour of the Laureates of the 17th Wieniawski Competition, scheduled for 2027, looks like. All the concerts listed below are non-statutory prizes awarded by music institutions invited to cooperate.
The organisation of such a large-scale project is the result of successful cooperation with partners from all over the world.
“One of the most important tasks of the Competition is not only to select outstanding talents, but also to give them the best possible start to an international career. Success in the Competition itself is only the beginning of this journey. “The Laureates’ Tour of the Wieniawski Competition that we organised in 2023 was a huge success and received wide international resonance. While working on the planned 2027 Laureates’ Tour for the 17th edition, we are delighted by the many ‘returns’ – in Europe, Asia, and South America alike – which shows the impression left by the performances of the previous tour. We are even more satisfied that we have managed to attract new excellent partners. This will translate into concerts in such European musical ‘Everests’ as the Berlin Philharmonie and the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, as well as around the world, including Sala São Paulo and the National Concert Hall in Taipei. The list of concerts is not yet final – discussions with further partners in Poland and abroad are still ongoing. The full and updated concert schedule will be published shortly before the start of the Competition.

Concerts with orchestras in Poland: with the National Symphony Orchestra of Polish Radio in Katowice, NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, Karol Szymanowski Philharmonic Orchestra in Kraków, Polish Baltic Philharmonic Fryderyk Chopin in Gdańsk, Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin, Pomeranian Philharmonic Ignacy Jan Paderewski in Bydgoszcz, Tadeusz Baird Zielona Góra Philharmonic, Artur Malawski Subcarpathian Philharmonic in Rzeszów, Józef Elsner Opole Philharmonic, Henryk Wieniawski Philharmonic in Lublin, Feliks Nowowiejski Warmian-Masurian Philharmonic in Olsztyn, and the Opera and Podlasie Philharmonic – Stanisław Moniuszko European Arts Centre in Białystok.

International concert tour: recital at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and concerts with orchestras: Sinfonie Orchester Berlin at the Berlin Philharmonie, Bielefelder Philharmoniker in Bielefeld, Sichuan Symphony Orchestra in Chengdu, Manila Symphony Orchestra in Manila, De Valette Chamber Orchestra / DVCO in Valletta (Malta), George Enescu Philharmonic in Bucharest, Orchestre national d’Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in Clermont-Ferrand, Pannon Philharmonic at Müpa Budapest and Kodály Centre in Pécs.
Taiwan tour, including a recital at the National Concert Hall in Taipei and performances with orchestras in Taipei and Kaohsiung.
Brazil tour with Orquestra Sinfônica Brasileira, Orquestra Filarmônica de Minas Gerais, Instituto Curitiba Arte e Cultura, and Orquestra Sinfônica do Teatro Nacional Cláudio Santoro.
Tour with the Artur Malawski Subcarpathian Philharmonic, with concerts at the Kaunas Philharmonic and the Great Amber Hall in Liepāja.
2nd Prize
Recitals: in the hall of the National Symphony Orchestra of Polish Radio in Katowice, the Polish Baltic Philharmonic Fryderyk Chopin in Gdańsk, and the Feliks Nowowiejski Warmian-Masurian Philharmonic in Olsztyn.
Concerts with orchestras: with the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin, the Henryk Wieniawski Philharmonic in Lublin, the Józef Wiłkomirski Sudeten Philharmonic in Wałbrzych, and the Polish Chamber Philharmonic Sopot.
3rd Prize
Concert tour in Germany with the Polish Radio Amadeus Chamber Orchestra.Recital at the Polish Baltic Philharmonic Fryderyk Chopin in Gdańsk.
Prize for the Highest-Placed Polish Participant of the Competition
Concerts with orchestras: with the Stanisław Moniuszko Koszalin Philharmonic, the Witold Lutosławski Chamber Philharmonic in Łomża, the Wojciech Kilar Polish Sinfonia Baltica Philharmonic in Słupsk, the Oskar Kolberg Świętokrzyska Philharmonic in Kielce, and the Sinfonietta Cracovia Orchestra of the Royal Capital City of Kraków.
Recital: at the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin.
Additional Concert Prizes for Selected Laureates
In addition, selected Laureates of the Competition will receive invitations to concerts as part of: the Jan Stanienda Chamber Music Festival “Evenings at the Arsenal”, the Gdańsk Music Festival, the Krystyna Jamroz Music Festival in Busko-Zdrój, and the Henryk Wieniawski Festival in Szczawno-Zdrój, as well as a recital at the National Forum of Music and a concert with the NFM Leopoldinum Orchestra in Wrocław.
