Seoyeon Baik

She began playing the violin at the age of 6. She made her debut recital at the age of 10 after winning the Grand Prix at the Strad Competition. Since then, she has continued to grow as a soloist, performing in recitals sponsored by the Kumho Asiana Cultural Foundation and collaborating with prestigious orchestras. She is also a member of the Juvenis Quartet, formed with her peers from the KNUA gifted program, which won first place at the Jeju International Chamber Music Competition. As the concertmaster of the KNUA Orchestra, she is gaining valuable leadership and musical experience.
Her dedication and passion for music have led to numerous achievements, including early admission to the Korea National University of Arts (KNUA) in 2023 at the age of 15.
In July 2023, she became the youngest finalist in the senior category of the Ysaÿe International Music Competition. In November 2024, she competed in the Isang Yun International Competition and was awarded the Sungyong Park Special Prize for Young Talent. In 2026, she was selected as a semifinalist at the Concours Musical International de Montréal (CMIM).
