The Jury of the 12th International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Making Competition – Roger Hargrave (Chairman, Great Britain), Roland Baumgartner (Switzerland), Joseph Grubaugh (USA), Norbert Kijanka (Poland), Wojciech Łukasz (Poland), Primo Pistoni (Italy), Patrick Robin (France), Jan Spidlen (Czech Republic), Herbert Greenberg (USA), Roman Lasocki (Poland), Dima Tkachenko (Ukraine) have awarded the following statutory prizes:


Min Sung Kim (South Korea) was awarded First Prize of the Competition for instrument Hangang:

of the instrument Laura

Min Sung Kim was awarded Special Prize endowed by Roger Hargrave, a set of hand-made boxwood fittings, for the best assembly and preparation of the instrument for playing


Nagroda Specjalna, ufundowana przez Rogera Hargrave'a – zestaw ręcznie wykonanych akcesoriów z drewna bukszpanowego

Robert Loska was awarded Special Prize endowed by Jan Špidlen, a book "Čeští mistři houslaři Špidlenové" (Czech Violin Making Masters, the Špidlen family), for the best Polish participant of the Competition


Nagroda Specjalna ufundowana przez Jana Špidlena – album „Čeští mistři houslaři Špidlenové”

Marcus Klimke was awarded Special Prize of the Circle of Czech Master Violinmakers (Czech Republic) for the most beautiful varnish


Nagroda Specjalna Kruh umělcu houslařů (Czeskiego Koła Lutników)

Wen Lin Du was awarded Special Prize of the Polish Artist Violin Maker Union for the best non-Polish finalist of the Competition not awarded a statutory prize - pictorial album "Polska sztuka lutnicza 1954-2004" [Violin Making Art in Poland 1954-2004]


Nagroda Specjalna Związku Polskich Artystów Lutników w postaci albumu „Polska sztuka lutnicza 1954–2004”

Michał Mazurek was awarded Special Prize of Norbert Kijanka and Wojciech Łukasz, a set of violin making tools, for the youngest participant of Stage 2 of the Competition

Nagrodę polskich jurorów Konkursu – Norberta Kijanki i Wojciecha Łukasza

Tomasz Pietraszek, Sebastian Dankiewicz i Piotr Kulcenty were awarded Special Prize endowed by Jakub Niewczyk
for three highest ranked students of Ignacy J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań - batches of sycamore wood

Nagroda specjalna w postaci kompletów drewna jaworowego ufundowana przez Jakuba Niewczyka


The "Złoty Groblicz" Special Prize for Roger Hargrave for a Lifetime Violin Making and Restoration Achievement, as well as for the Contribution to the Development of the World Violin Making Art endowed by the National Museum in Poznań
by a motion of Andrzej Wituski, Director of a Competition, and the Henryk Wieniawski Musical Society
